The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newell throws a jab but it's blocked by Norris.
Norris drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Norris scoring with punches to the head and body.
Norris lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newell wants to sweep here but Norris controlling him for the moment.
Norris scoring with some ground and pound.
Norris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Norris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Norris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Norris wants to control but Newell is keeping him busy.
Newell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Norris in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Newell looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Norris turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
