Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Waldir Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shakala Lambda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lambda looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lambda tries to clinch there but Carvalho circles away.

Carvalho gets caught flat footed, as Lambda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Carvalho really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Carvalho throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Carvalho throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lambda uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carvalho tries to escape but Lambda is in control.

Lambda goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carvalho rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lambda's guard! Nice work there by Carvalho!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lambda manages to escape to his feet.
Lambda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Carvalho counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
