The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halberstram throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Halberstram throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Child sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Halberstram misses the target.
Child pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Child throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Halberstram's head.
Halberstram thows a body shot but no joy.
Halberstram looks to throw the jab but Child is out of range.

Halberstram shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Child fakes the leg kick and cracks Halberstram in the body.
Child misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Halberstram misses the shot to the body.
Child tries to move into range but Halberstram moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Halberstram misses the shot to the body.
Halberstram tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Child swivels and escapes.
Starving Child seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Child goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Halberstram throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Child throws a head kick that half lands.
Halberstram throws a body punch but Child moves out of range.
Child lands with a kick to the temple. Halberstram shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Halberstram is rocked!
Halberstram on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Oh Halberstram is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Child! Halberstram is out on his feet! Child rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Halberstram is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Halberstram is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
