Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hiro pongha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake colby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, hiro pongha!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pongha is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
colby misses with a looping right.
colby misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

pongha moves in looking to clinch but colby pushes him off.
hiro pongha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
colby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
colby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

pongha has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. colby is working away from the top position though.
colby stands up and beckons pongha to join him on the feet.

colby could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
colby is breathing heavily.
pongha wants to sweep here but colby controlling him for the moment.

colby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
colby misses with a looping right.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Horrible takedown by pongha or perhaps it was just good defense by colby which made him look bad.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by pongha.

pongha has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed colby clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I would not like to be colby right now.
pongha has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. colby is defending well but eventually pongha manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! colby has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
