Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ruent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Leonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonov has chosen Red october as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonov misses with a body shot.

Leonov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ruent but Ruent pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Leonov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ruent. Ruent obviously looking to wear him down.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ruent takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Leonov is trying to drag Ruent to the mat but Ruent just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Ruent lands an elbow that stopped Leonov in his tracks for a moment.

Ruent creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Leonov's defenses.
Ruent lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Leonov backwards.
Ruent is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Ruent lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Leonov or not.

Ruent presses Leonov against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Leonov tries to work over Ruent's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Ruent lands an elbow inside.
Leonov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ruent smiles and moves away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Leonov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Leonov avoids the head kick by Ruent.
Leonov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ruent avoids it really well and circles away.
Ruent moves away from the strike by Leonov.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ruent.
Leonov is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheers as Ruent lands an impressive looking overhand right. Leonov doesn't seem phased though.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ruent.
Ruent throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Leonov.

Ruent jabs Leonov right on the nose. Leonov blinks but takes it well.
Rick Ruent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leonov shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruent sprawls well. He's pushed Leonov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ruent ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Ruent lands a big head kick that sends Leonov tumbling to the mat! Ruent takes a step backwards and waves Leonov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Leonov is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Ruent uses the oldest trick in the book to send Leonov tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Ruent is absolutely delighted - when Leonov wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
