Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joakim Madsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serj Tankian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madsen comes to the ring accompanied by Hold Me Up - Live. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tankian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Madsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tankian's waist but Tankian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madsen off to one side.
Tankian misses with a series of wild punches.
Madsen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Madsen shoots in for a takedown but Tankian shows good takedown defense.
Tankian is looking to clinch but Madsen is avoiding it.
A head kick from Tankian lands but Madsen takes it in his stride.
Tankian lands a body shot.

Madsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tankian trying to control but Madsen postures up.
Tankian is staying active underneath Madsen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tankian tries to get to full guard but Madsen has control of the leg.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Madsen is trying to control. Tankian wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Madsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tankian's waist but Tankian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madsen off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joakim Madsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Madsen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Madsen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tankian.

Madsen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tankian to the mat! Tankian manages to get full guard.
Madsen prevents Tankian from getting back to his feet.

Tankian is looking to sinch up a triangle. Madsen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tankian's body to avoid the submission. Tankian has instead reached around Madsen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tankian arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
