Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sendo Fujimiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sendo Fujimiya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kung Pow!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujimiya fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pow avoids it really well and circles away.
Fujimiya shoots for a takedown but Pow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fujimiya fails in his attempt to clinch.

Pow clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Pow.
Pow throws a head punch that misses.
Fujimiya throws a punch but it's blocked by Pow.
Fujimiya tries to break the clinch but Pow is controlling the position.
Fujimiya tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sendo Fujimiya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Pow creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fujimiya is trying to break free.
Pow lands a hook that snaps the head of Fujimiya backwards.
Fujimiya is trying to break the clinch but Pow is controlling him.
Fujimiya tries to pull guard but Pow holds him up against the ropes and eventually Fujimiya drops back down to his feet.
Pow lands with a left to the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Pow.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Pow.

Fujimiya can't get the takedown.
Pow prevents the takedown attempt.
Fujimiya goes for a takedown attempt but Pow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fujimiya is breathing heavily.
Pow cracks Fujimiya with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Pow stuffs the takedown attempt from Fujimiya. Fujimiya gets slowly back to his feet.
Fujimiya goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fujimiya shoots in but no luck this time.
Fujimiya fails with a takedown attempt.
Fujimiya closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pow circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fujimiya closes the distance looking to clinch

and Pow moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Pow fails to land.
Pow tries to circle away but Fujimiya has him pinned against the ropes.
Pow softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Pow gets underhooks to prevent Fujimiya's takedown attempt.
Pow lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Fujimiya jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pow walks away with a smile on his face. Fujimiya gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fujimiya closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pow counters with a nice body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fujimiya fails with the takedown
and Pow counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Pow drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fujimiya is looking to reverse the position.
Fujimiya is letting Pow control him for a moment.
Pow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujimiya. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fujimiya tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fujimiya is working hard here to advance position.
Pow takes a little break here. Fujimiya wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fujimiya tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pow easily slips into full mount!

Pow tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fujimiya is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pow controlling the pace for now.
Fujimiya regains half guard.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pow prevents Fujimiya from improving his position.
Fujimiya is trying to stand back up but Pow is controlling him
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Fujimiya is trying to maintain the position but Pow is very close to passing his half guard.

Fujimiya is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kung Pow.
Pow scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Pow looks to land a left hand but Fujimiya moved out of range nicely.
Fujimiya walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fujimiya tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pow counters with a three punch combo that has Fujimiya backing up. Fujimiya nods at Pow to acknowledge the strikes.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Fujimiya misses with a body kick.
Fujimiya gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pow counters with a nice body shot.
Fujimiya with a poor takedown
enabling Pow to counter with a crisp jab.
Fujimiya fails with the takedown
and Fujimiya takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Pow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fujimiya has his takedown stuffed
and Pow counters with a straight right hand.
Pow connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fujimiya momentarily.
Fujimiya closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pow tries to bum rush Fujimiya with a series of wild strikes but Fujimiya uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kung Pow dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Fujimiya tries to clinch up
and Pow counters with a left and a right that stings Fujimiya.
Sendo Fujimiya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pow throws a hook to the side of Fujimiya's head but Fujimiya sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fujimiya moves out of range as Pow strikes.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fujimiya. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Pow slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice jab there from Pow.
Fujimiya wants to clinch

and Pow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fujimiya's guard.
Fujimiya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pow is one step ahead there.

Pow is stalling in the full guard.
Fujimiya is trying to keep Pow in close.
Pow has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fujimiya had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pow defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pow stays in close to Fujimiya's body and controls the position.
Pow won't allow Fujimiya to sweep him here.
Pow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fujimiya takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pow stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pow comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fujimiya takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fujimiya has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fujimiya there as he acknowledges the shot.

Pow has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A lazy left from Pow finds it's target.
Fujimiya takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Fujimiya shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pow counters with a three punch combo that has Fujimiya backing up. Fujimiya nods at Pow to acknowledge the strikes.
Pow darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fujimiya throws a head kick but Pow moves out of range.
Fujimiya takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Pow throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fujimiya tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fujimiya tries for a takedown but Pow circles away easily
and Pow makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kung Pow seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pow scores with a jab to the head.
A head kick misses from Fujimiya.
Fujimiya moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fujimiya tries for a takedown but Pow circles away easily
and Pow counters with a stiff right hand.

and Pow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fujimiya's guard.

Kung Pow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Let's hope that Pow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kung Pow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
