PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tray Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes into the arena with Wild Thing blaring out of the sound system. Roberts is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bonkers By Dizee Rascal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Tray Roberts!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Roberts. Lynch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tray Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roberts throws a hook to the side of Lynch's head but Lynch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Roberts tests Lynch's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lynch takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Eric Lynch has been cut.
A punch combination from Roberts misses.
Roberts does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lynch shoots in and drives through. Roberts sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lynch takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Roberts connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Roberts lands a right hook to the body.
Roberts throws a right hand that Lynch ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynch also avoids with ease.
Roberts misses with a looping left.
Lynch walks straight into a right hand from Roberts - that's dropped him! Roberts jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lynch from any more punishment! Lynch complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
