The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRedd misses with a straight left.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McRedd scores with a hook.

McRedd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McRedd fails with a takedown attempt.
McRedd throws a chopping leg kick but Lee manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lee fails to land with a series of punches.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McRedd manages to avoid it.

McRedd feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, McRedd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McRedd is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McRedd is pushing down on Lee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lee is fighting to maintain full guard but McRedd has managed to sneak the leg through.
McRedd is figuring out what he wants to do next.

McRedd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McRedd content to control rather than advance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee is refusing to be controlled, as McRedd sits in half guard.

McRedd tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lee is able to avoid easily.

Lee is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
