Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Muraco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Lee Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Lee Paris will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Paris.

It looks like Don Muraco has been cut.
Paris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Muraco. That did some damage!
Don Muraco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paris leaves Muraco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Paris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Muraco is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Paris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Paris's back!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Muraco cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Muraco jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Paris is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Paris and Muraco has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Paris is looking to regain half guard here but Muraco keeps moving and retains side control.

Muraco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Muraco is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Paris still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Paris has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Paris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Paris darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Muraco's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Paris before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
