Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauri Kunnas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Tepez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kunnas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Jumal x10 Lavis - Jeesus. Tepez has chosen Slayer - Here Comes The Pain as his entrance music. The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kunnas rushes Tepez and presses him up against the cage.
Tepez tries a body shot but Kunnas blocks it.

Tepez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kunnas throws a jab but it's blocked by Tepez.
Tepez throws a hook to the side of Kunnas's head but Kunnas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kunnas. Tepez does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tepez missing with a left hand there. Kunnas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Tepez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kunnas did well to prevent Tepez getting side control.
Tepez wants to free his trapped foot but Kunnas is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tepez is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that Tepez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tepez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tepez tries to move into range but Kunnas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tepez takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Tepez shoots in looking for a takedown. Kunnas tries to sprawl out of it but Tepez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kunnas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Kunnas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tepez thinking.

Kunnas slaps away a takedown attempt from Tepez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kunnas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tepez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tepez is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Tepez moves away from the strike by Kunnas.
Kunnas moves into range and clinches up with Tepez.
Kunnas scores with a knee to the head.
Kunnas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tepez is keeping busy.
Tepez is trying to trip Kunnas. He has hold of a leg but Kunnas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tepez persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Tepez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kunnas kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kunnas is positioning himself well to prevent Tepez advancing to mount.
Kunnas is staying active underneath Tepez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tepez winds up and cracks Kunnas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kunnas tries to get to full guard but Tepez has control of the leg.
