The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
varney blocks a jab.

varney tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lewis sizes up varney with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lewis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lewis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lewis dips a shoulder and cracks varney with a mighty uppercut! varney falls back against the cage and Lewis unloads with a barrage of strikes! varney is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lewis screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
