Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Head.
Head is looking to clinch.
Gomes shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense.
Dick Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Head tries to clinch but Gomes is having none of it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Head.

Gomes is looking to take a break and control but Head is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gomes tries to score with some ground and pound. Head controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Gomes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Head keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Head connects with a crisp jab.
Gomes misses with a combination

and Head counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gomes won't be happy with that.
Gomes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Head has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Head misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Head throws a strike aimed at the side of Gomes's head but Gomes avoids it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Head wants to stand but Gomes has his arm trapped.
Head throwing strikes but Gomes manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Dick Head will probably get the nod.

Gomes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Head counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Gomes tries to keep at a distance but Head has taken the fight into the clinch.
Head gets underhooks to prevent Gomes's takedown attempt.

Head looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gomes is fending him off so far but Head persists. Nope, Gomes circles away and we're back to standing.

Head bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gomes is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
