The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alex throws an overhand right that lands on Schmitt's shoulder, as Schmitt tries to avoid the shot.

It looks like Willheim Schmitt has been cut.
Schmitt misses with a two punch combination.

Schmitt lands with a good body shot.
Schmitt looks to throw the jab but Alex is out of range.
Schmitt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Schmitt cracks Alex with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Alex has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schmitt finds it's way round the side to connect with Alex's head.

Schmitt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Schmitt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alex circles away quickly and effectively.
Schmitt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alex.
Schmitt looks to land a right hand but Alex moved out of range.
Alex needs to keep his hands up - Schmitt had a free shot at his head there.
Schmitt stalks Alex and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alex's face. Alex staggers backwards, shaken.
Alex is breathing heavily.
Alex throws a jab but it's blocked by Schmitt.
Schmitt smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alex loads up on a big right hand but Schmitt slips the punch.

Schmitt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alex doesn't seem bothered though.

Alex takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Schmitt lands a glancing blow to the side of Alex's head.

Schmitt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alex sprawling to the canvas! Alex rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Schmitt finish him?!

Schmitt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Schmitt grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Alex takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Schmitt cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
