Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Egans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maynardo Greco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greco has chosen after the slam watch for this. as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gerald Egans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maynardo Greco!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egans lands with a good body shot.
Greco keeps the fight on the outside.

Greco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Egans is pushing Greco's head away, looking to escape. Greco manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greco looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Egans is avoiding damage well.
Greco lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
You can see the frustration on Egans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Greco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Egans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Greco has managed to get both his arms back between Egans's legs - danger averted.

Egans bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Greco's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greco can do anything to dispel that myth.

Greco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Egans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
