PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ciprian Mukesha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mayhem Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mukesha comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Madness. The crowd seem to be enjoying Miller's choice of entrance music: LL-cool J - Mama said knock you out. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ciprian Mukesha!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mayhem Miller!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mukesha bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mukesha tries to stand but Miller is controlling his head.
An elbow from Mukesha crashes against the mat.
Mukesha working away.
Mukesha in side control, throwing shots but Miller defends.
Miller is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mukesha is controlling him well.
Mukesha is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miller wants to control but Mukesha postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mukesha attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Miller counters with a good low kick that Mukesha was not able to check.

Mayhem Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mukesha tries to throw a body punch but Miller avoids it by throwing Mukesha back against the cage.

Miller using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mukesha has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Miller is pressed up against the cage. Mukesha has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Miller down to the mat. Miller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mukesha stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Miller.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Miller is pressed up against the cage. Mukesha has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Miller down to the mat. Miller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Oh Mukesha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Miller counters with a double leg. Mukesha bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Miller follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.
