Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Ba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McCarther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John McCarther was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ba shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice sprawl there from McCarther as Ba shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Ba. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McCarther scores a takedown into full mount!
Ba slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
McCarther is thwarting Ba's attempts to control the position.
McCarther tries to pass to full mount but Ba defends it.

McCarther is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ba is just riding it out for now. McCarther eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ba looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McCarther is defending well. Ba quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McCarther has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ba celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
