Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mikhail Chivitchian!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer ducks right into an uppercut from Chivitchian.
Nice defenses there by Chivitchian.
Boxer throws a right and a left that Chivitchian avoids nicely.
Chivitchian misses with a straight right.
Boxer loads up on a big right hand but Chivitchian slips the punch.
Donk. Boxer catches Chivitchian right on the button with a cross.
Chivitchian scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boxer doesn't seem bothered though.
Chivitchian moves out of range as Boxer strikes.
Chivitchian looks to land a combination but Boxer avoids it well.

Chivitchian uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boxer.

Boxer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boxer throws a lazy right hand but Chivitchian sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Boxer just misses with a punch to the body.
Chivitchian has closed the distance and engaged Boxer in a clinch.
Boxer lands a body shot.
Chivitchian jumps guard but Boxer stands there with Chivitchian around his waist. Chivitchian gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Chivitchian.
Chivitchian manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Chivitchian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Boxer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chivitchian swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chivitchian is looking for a triangle but Boxer pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Chivitchian is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Chivitchian keeping moving, preventing Boxer from controlling successfully.
Chivitchian looking for a guillotine here but Boxer defends easily.
Boxer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Boxer tries to free his leg and advance position but Chivitchian is retaining full guard.

Boxer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chivitchian has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boxer has managed to get both his arms back between Chivitchian's legs - danger averted.
Chivitchian has his foot on Boxer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boxer works his way back into a safe position though.
Chivitchian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boxer wants to control from the top but Chivitchian keeps moving.
Boxer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chivitchian is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Beautiful Boxer.
Chivitchian throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boxer misses with an uppercut.
Boxer moves out of range as Chivitchian strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Beautiful Boxer will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boxer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chivitchian.

Chivitchian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boxer circles away quickly and effectively.

Chivitchian is holding his hands too far apart here. Boxer throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Chivitchian is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
