Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Downer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downer works over Jones's head and body with a nice combination.
A lazy left from Downer finds it's target.
Downer tries to clinch up.
Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Downer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Downer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Downer slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Downer rushes Jones and presses him up against the ropes.
Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Downer is defending well for now.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Downer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the ropes.

Jones has Downer pressed against the ropes, preventing Downer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jones fails to pull guard.

Downer breaks from the clinch.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Downer to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Downer throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Luke Downer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Downer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Downer scores with a sloppy right hand. Jones should have avoided that one.

Jones is rocked!
Downer feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Jones crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
