The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Evans shoots for a double leg takedown but Vatali sprawls well. He's pushed Evans's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Evans fakes the leg kick and cracks Vatali in the body.
Joe Vatali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Vatali tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vatali manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Vatali will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Vatali.
