Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herb Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a head kick but Hopkins moves out of range.
Dean throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hopkins sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hopkins moves out of range of the strikes.
Dean connects with a solid leg kick.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hopkins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hopkins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dean tries to bum rush Hopkins with a series of wild strikes but Hopkins uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Herb Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hopkins fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dean looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dean throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hopkins throws an overhand right that lands on Dean's shoulder, as Dean tries to avoid the shot.

Dean lands a big head kick that sends Hopkins tumbling to the mat! Dean takes a step backwards and waves Hopkins back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dean scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hopkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hopkins throws a right hand that Dean ducks under and follows up with a left that Dean also avoids with ease.
Hopkins takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hopkins is breathing heavily.

Dean swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hopkins counters with a stiff right hand.
Hopkins looks to throw the jab but Dean is out of range.
Dean throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Dean's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Dean duly obliges.
Dean connects with an inside leg kick.
Dean lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dean throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hopkins seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Dean shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Hopkins is backing up but Dean catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Hopkins covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Dean Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
