The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gesalian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McPain avoids it really well and circles away.
Gesalian walks forward, straight into a front kick from McPain.
Gesalian shoots for a takedown but McPain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McPain lands a head kick. Gesalian smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nice takedown defense from McPain. No joy for Gesalian on that attempt.
Urist McPain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karapet Gesalian.

Gesalian changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McPain looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McPain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McPain tries to get out of the position.
McPain is looking for a sweep.

Gesalian stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McPain!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gesalian sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

McPain lands a big head kick that sends Gesalian tumbling to the mat! McPain takes a step backwards and waves Gesalian back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Karapet Gesalian has been cut.

McPain pushes Gesalian up against the cage in a clinch.

McPain throws a series of strikes that have Gesalian backpedaling.

McPain lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
McPain connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gesalian! He's out on his feet! McPain rushes in and drops Gesalian with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
