The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hyer misses with the combination.
Hyer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dalawa shoots in for a takedown but Hyer shows good takedown defense.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hyer is trying to maintain a safe position but Dalawa gets an underhook and turns Hyer into the cage.
Hyer lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dalawa can't get the takedown.
Dalawa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hyer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tom Hyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doll a wa Dalawa.

Dalawa has Hyer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hyer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hyer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Hyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tom Hyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hyer lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hyer drives through and clinches with Dalawa against the cage.

Hyer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hyer grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Dalawa takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hyer cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
