The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauve takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sauve throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Sauve swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sauve instigates a clinch.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Jones tries to pull guard but Sauve won't allow it.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sauve walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A bone on bone clash there as Sauve blocks the leg kick.

Sauve fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Sauve has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sauve is trying to stall.
A body shot lands from Jones.

Jones pulls Sauve into guard.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sauve manages to get himself to full guard.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sauve is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.

Jones has his feet on Sauve's thighs here. He's pushed Sauve off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sauve screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
