The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunnarsson misses with a series of wild punches.
Gunnarsson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Monroe.

Monroe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Monroe is looking for a kimura here.

Monroe closes the distance and clinches up with Gunnarsson, looking for a takedown. Monroe pushes Gunnarsson against the cage but Gunnarsson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Monroe looks gassed!
Gunnarsson stalks Monroe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Monroe's face. Monroe staggers backwards, shaken.

Monroe is rocked!

It looks like Mike Monroe has been cut.
Gunnarsson clinches but Monroe breaks the clinch

and Monroe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Monroe is still in real trouble! Can Gunnarsson finish him?
Gunnarsson wants to get back to his feet but Monroe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Monroe seems to have recovered his senses.
