Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Maury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Voices. Tom Maury will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maury tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Orton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maury darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Maury fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Maury shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maury is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Orton is aware though and is defending well.

Maury remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Maury drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maury jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maury accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tom Maury showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Orton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maury avoids it really well and circles away.

Maury has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Maury lands a nice leg kick that just misses Orton's sensitive parts.

Maury closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Orton did well to prevent Maury getting side control.
Maury is taking a breather. Orton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Orton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maury manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Orton has Maury in his guard.
Maury not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Maury has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
