Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cain velasqz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blatt comes to the cage accompanied by you're going down- sick puppies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blatt lands a left and a right that send velasqz crashing to the mat, dazed. Blatt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like cain velasqz has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from velasqz. Blatt does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blatt jabbing away but nothing is landing.
velasqz catches Blatt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Blatt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by velasqz.

velasqz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blatt has managed to clinch.
Blatt blocks an elbow strike.
Blatt jumps guard and drags velasqz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Blatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. velasqz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. velasqz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blatt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. velasqz was covering up waiting for the punch and Blatt finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blatt is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches velasqz flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! velasqz is out cold! Blatt holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
