The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold throws a lazy right hand but Nakata sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gold throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nakata is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Kazuharu Nakata has been cut.
Nakata on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The fighters circling - Gold throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gold misses with an attempted mid kick.

Nakata throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gold's waist but Gold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nakata off to one side.
