The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lorin's waist but Lorin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castro off to one side.
Castro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Castro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fidel Jr Castro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lorin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Castro counters with a single leg into guard. Lorin didn't expect that.

Lorin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castro throws a big right hand that misses.

Castro drops back looking for a leg! Lorin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lorin manages to kick Castro off! Castro jumps back into Lorin's guard.

Lorin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Castro is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lorin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Castro's back instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lorin wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Castro has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Lorin's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Lorin is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Castro!
