Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Burgandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garruk Wildspeaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronald Burgandy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Garruk Wildspeaker!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Burgandy or perhaps it was just good defense by Wildspeaker which made him look bad.

Wildspeaker gets tackled into the cage by Burgandy. Burgandy maintains the clinch.
Burgandy looking for a takedown.

Burgandy breaks the clinch.

Wildspeaker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Burgandy!
Wildspeaker trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Burgandy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wildspeaker wants to control the pace but Burgandy is squirming around nicely.

Wildspeaker jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Burgandy manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wildspeaker tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Wildspeaker advances to mount.
Wildspeaker looking to control but Burgandy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Wildspeaker is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Burgandy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Burgandy shrugs it off.

Wildspeaker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Wildspeaker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Burgandy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Burgandy and Wildspeaker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Wildspeaker tries to advance to mount but Burgandy denies him.

Wildspeaker tries for a kimura but Burgandy is defending well.

Wildspeaker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Burgandy tries to escape but Wildspeaker is in control.
Wildspeaker tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Wildspeaker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Burgandy's legs.
Wildspeaker trying to control the action but Burgandy is working from the bottom.

Wildspeaker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wildspeaker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wildspeaker trying to control the action but Burgandy is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wildspeaker advances to mount.

Wildspeaker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Wildspeaker unloads with some shots from mount but Burgandy bucks and avoids them well.
Wildspeaker trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Garruk Wildspeaker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wildspeaker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Burgandy scores with a takedown into Wildspeaker's guard.
Burgandy throws a strike but Wildspeaker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wildspeaker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burgandy is keeping the position for now.
Wildspeaker pushing down on Burgandy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Wildspeaker is just content to waste time from the top position. Burgandy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Wildspeaker wants to pass the guard but Burgandy is keeping the position.

Burgandy pushes Wildspeaker off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Wildspeaker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Burgandy moves in looking to clinch but Wildspeaker pushes him off.
Burgandy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burgandy shoots for a double leg takedown but Wildspeaker sprawls well. He's pushed Burgandy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wildspeaker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burgandy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Burgandy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Burgandy has Wildspeaker pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Burgandy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wildspeaker tumbling to the mat - Burgandy dives into Wildspeaker's guard.
Wildspeaker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burgandy manages to get himself to full guard.
Wildspeaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Burgandy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wildspeaker advances position into side control!

Wildspeaker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wildspeaker advances nicely into full mount.

Wildspeaker is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Burgandy is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Garruk Wildspeaker!
