Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Sichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Sichev will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compton takes a swing at Sichev's ribcage but misses.
Compton tries to clinch there but Sichev circles away.
Compton looks for a takedown but Sichev sprawls well.

Sichev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Compton trying his best to control but Sichev has mounted him.
Sichev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Compton working to try and regain half guard.
Compton tries to hold on but Sichev pushes him away.
Compton is looking to improve his position but Sichev isn't that keen on the idea.

Compton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Yuri Sichev hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sichev has Compton up against the cage in a clinch.
Compton jumps guard but Sichev stands there with Compton around his waist. Compton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sichev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Compton throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A combination from Sichev does no damage.
Compton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Compton is breathing heavily.

Compton tries to keep at a distance but Sichev has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sichev is struggling to control the position.

Sichev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sichev gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sichev has hold of one of Compton's legs. Compton is fighting the takedown attempt but Sichev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A telegraphed right hand from Compton misses the target.
Sichev tries to close the distance and clinch but Compton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sichev drives through with a takedown into guard.
Compton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sichev is controlling him.

Sichev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Compton, up you get!

Sichev darts in and clinches Compton up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sichev manages to break the clinch.

Sichev moves into the clinch.

Sichev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sichev misses with a jab, cross combination.

Sichev throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Compton was covering up waiting for the punch and Sichev finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sichev is pushing down on Compton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Compton is fighting to maintain full guard but Sichev has managed to sneak the leg through.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sichev moves nicely into side control.

Sichev stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Sichev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sichev is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Compton!
Sichev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Sichev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yuri Sichev wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sichev rushes Compton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuri Sichev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Compton misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sichev.

Sichev frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sichev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Compton flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Yuri Sichev.
Compton blocks a head kick by Sichev.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Compton checks a leg kick.

Sichev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Compton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sichev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Yuri Sichev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sichev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
