Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between LiL EvIL (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi misses the jab.

Gomi throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Gomi counters with a solid body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - EvIL looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gomi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
EvIL shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gomi as he jumps to the side.

EvIL really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Takanori Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
EvIL changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomi tries to avoid it but EvIL manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomi to the ground. Gomi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Gomi counters with a head kick that drops EvIL to the mat! EvIL scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

EvIL tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gomi smiles and moves away.
EvIL tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomi swivels and escapes.
Gomi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but EvIL moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gomi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gomi throws a right hand that EvIL ducks under and follows up with a left that EvIL also avoids with ease.

and Gomi counters with a big head kick but EvIL shrugs it off.

Gomi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but EvIL circles away quickly and effectively.

and EvIL counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
EvIL looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

EvIL dives in and grabs Gomi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gomi pushes down on EvIL's head and hops out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
EvIL trying to control the position.
EvIL wants to sweep but no luck.
Gomi is looking to stand up but EvIL won't let him.
Gomi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
EvIL will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

EvIL escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gomi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gomi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with EvIL. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gomi wants to stand but EvIL is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
EvIL looking to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gomi trying to stand up but can't free himself from EvIL's guard.

Gomi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
LiL EvIL is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
EvIL shoots in but Gomi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gomi throws a sloppy head kick and EvIL moves out of range easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gomi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and EvIL has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from EvIL and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gomi throws a head kick but EvIL moves out of range.
Gomi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down EvIL rather than just go for the knockout.
Gomi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and EvIL is able to avoid easily.

EvIL ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. EvIL no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that LiL EvIL will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

No joy there for Gomi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

EvIL closes the distance and pushes Gomi back into the cage.
EvIL tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gomi tries to break the clinch but EvIL is controlling the position.

Gomi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of EvIL is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now EvIL is on top in guard.

EvIL stands and steps away. Gomi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Gomi is pushing EvIL's head away, looking to escape. EvIL manages to hold on to the position though.

EvIL shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than EvIL was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

EvIL lands a big elbow.
You get the feeling that Gomi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
EvIL pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Gomi is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! EvIL has taken his back!
Gomi is trying to get back to his feet but EvIL has full control of the position and if anything, Gomi has just worked his way into a worse spot.
EvIL is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
EvIL trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
EvIL struggling to land strikes to the head as Gomi covers up.
EvIL is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Gomi is keeping busy.
