Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Yevgenyevich Beschastnykh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mads Soren Kassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Yevgenyevich Beschastnykh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mads Soren Kassler!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kassler fails with a takedown attempt.
Kassler misses with a takedown attempt - Beschastnykh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Beschastnykh misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kassler moves in looking to clinch but Beschastnykh pushes him off.
Kassler fails to land the takedown.
Vladimir Yevgenyevich Beschastnykh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mads Soren Kassler.

Beschastnykh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kassler.
Beschastnykh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kassler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beschastnykh's waist but Beschastnykh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kassler off to one side.

Kassler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beschastnykh pinned against the cage. Beschastnykh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kassler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beschastnykh swivels and escapes.
Kassler avoids the body shot from Beschastnykh.
Beschastnykh misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beschastnykh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kassler.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Beschastnykh misses with the combination.
No luck for Kassler with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Yevgenyevich Beschastnykh dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kassler fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Beschastnykh is out of range.
Kassler dives in and grabs Beschastnykh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beschastnykh pushes down on Kassler's head and hops out.

Beschastnykh throws a right hand that Kassler ducks under and follows up with a left that Kassler also avoids with ease.
Kassler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beschastnykh.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kassler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Beschastnykh throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kassler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beschastnykh pinned against the cage. Beschastnykh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kassler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mads Soren Kassler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beschastnykh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Beschastnykh misses with a wild body shot.
Beschastnykh throws a hook to the side of Kassler's head but Kassler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kassler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Beschastnykh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kassler.
Vladimir Yevgenyevich Beschastnykh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Beschastnykh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kassler sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kassler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beschastnykh.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Beschastnykh leaves Kassler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Beschastnykh avoids the head kick by Kassler.

Kassler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Beschastnykh napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kassler wants to control but Beschastnykh is keeping him busy.

Kassler wants to take a breather but Beschastnykh manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Kassler.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Beschastnykh is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kassler trying to control the position from guard on top but Beschastnykh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Beschastnykh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kassler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

I would just about give that final round to Mads Soren Kassler.
I think Beschastnykh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
