PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Company. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Willy Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonas Jensen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Davis on the side of the head.
Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Davis shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well.
Jensen lands with a nice body punch.
Jensen punishes Davis's body with a nice straight punch.
Jensen lands with a right hand.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jensen pinned against the cage. Jensen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jensen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Davis momentarily.
Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jensen but Jensen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Jensen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davis's head.

Davis is rocked!

Jensen clinches up with Davis and pushes him back against the cage.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Jensen.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jensen.
Jensen gets through Davis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jensen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Davis up against the cage.
Jensen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Still in the clinch, Jensen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Davis swings wildly with an uppercut but Jensen uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jensen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Daviss head.
A body shot lands from Jensen.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jensen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jensen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Davis.

Jensen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jensen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Davis. Davis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jonas Jensen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jensen lands a left and a right that send Davis crashing to the mat, dazed. Jensen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Davis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davis shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well.

Jensen sends Davis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jensen is motioning to the referee to let Davis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jensen closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Davis out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
