The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornton misses with the combination.
Wagstaff just misses with a punch to the body.
Wagstaff is looking to clinch but Thornton is avoiding it.
Thornton looks to score with a jab to the body but Wagstaff is just out of range.
Wagstaff throws out a loose jab but Thornton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thornton throws a series of punches but Wagstaff avoids them all with ease.
Thornton swats away the attempt to clinch by Wagstaff.
The fighters circle momentarily. Thornton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Wagstaff.
Wagstaff slips under a jab.
Lester Wagstaff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wagstaff takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Thornton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Shawn Thornton has been cut.
Wagstaff plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wagstaff fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thornton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Thornton throws a leg kick but Wagstaff moved away.

Wagstaff clobbers Thornton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wagstaff looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wagstaff fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Thornton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wagstaff changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Thornton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wagstaff.

Thornton drops his hands momentarily and Wagstaff needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Thornton just on the top of the head. Thornton drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Thornton - he's done!
