The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durdan leaves Garcia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Durdan misses with a straight left.
Durdan misses with an uppercut. Garcia saw that one coming.

Durdan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Durdan showed some decent athleticism there.
Garcia won't allow Durdan to pass to mount.
Durdan slows the pace down in half guard.

Durdan is working for an americana but Garcia has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Durdan was thinking about the submission.

Durdan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Durdan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garcia keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Durdan is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Garcia as he works his way to full guard.

Durdan has gone for a leg lock! Garcia slips out almost immediately though and dives into Durdan's guard.
Durdan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Garcia working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Durdan is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Garcia has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Durdan taps out!
