Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pulver Toast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulver Toast will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Lashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pulver Toast!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Toast.

Lashley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Toast wants to control but Lashley postures up.

Lashley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lashley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toast is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Toast's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lashley connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Toast some visible discomfort.
Lashley misses with the ground and pound.
Toast is trying to improve his position.

Toast is trying to control Lashley's posture but Lashley avoids it.
Lashley tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Lashley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Toast has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lashley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Toast knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Toast tries to bum rush Lashley with a series of wild strikes but Lashley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Toast throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lashley.
Toast misses with a body kick.
Toast lands a high kick!
Toast thuds his shin into the meat of Lashley's side.
Toast throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Toast moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Toast scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Toast scores with a jab to the head.
Toast misses with a kick to the body.
Toast turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Toast connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Toast fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lashley manages to avoid it.
Toast swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lashley takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Toast misses with a body kick.
Toast swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Toast defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lashley.

Lashley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Toast's efforts to push away.
Toast wants to get back to striking at distance but Lashley won't allow it.

Toast misses with a knee strike.
Lashley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Toast is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Toast has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lashley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Toast pulls his leg out and moves away.
Toast throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Toast throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Toast.
Toast throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lashley.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Toast really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lashley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lashley wants to control but Toast is keeping him busy.

Lashley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lashley is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lashley is trying to control the action in half guard but Toast is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Toast looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Toast throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Toast throws a body kick that misses.

Lashley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lashley is chipping away with strikes.
Lashley lands an elbow.
Toast is trying to get back to half guard.

Pulver Toast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Toast tries to bum rush Lashley with a series of wild strikes but Lashley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Toast sprawls well. Toast wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet.

Toast throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Toast ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lashley moves away.

Lashley moves out of range of the strikes.
Toast pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lashley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Toast has had enough of the clinch but Lashley keeps him there for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lashley managing to control the position.
Lashley striking off his back but it's not causing Toast any problems.
Lashley is trying to keep Toast in close.
Toast prevents Lashley from getting back to his feet.
Toast trying to control the position from guard on top but Lashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Toast tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lashley was well out of range. Poor timing from Toast.

Lashley fails with a takedown attempt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Toast.
Toast throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lashley is looking to clinch but Toast is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Toast.
A nice inside leg kick there by Toast. That's going to slow Lashley down.
Toast digs a good hook to Lashley's body.
Toast throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bobby Lashley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Lashley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Toast's guard.
Lashley stays in close to Toast's body and controls the position.
Lashley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toast swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lashley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lashley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
