Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucca Turpitudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turpitudo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It Doesn't Matter - Dwayne Johnson. Maurice McDonald is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Turpitudo was covering up waiting for the punch and McDonald finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Turpitudo is trying to keep McDonald in close.
Turpitudo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Turpitudo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McDonald manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Turpitudo has McDonald in his guard.

Turpitudo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McDonald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Turpitudo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch but Turpitudo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McDonald throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDonald ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turpitudo moves away.
McDonald bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Turpitudo's head backwards.
Turpitudo throws a series of punches but McDonald avoids them all with ease.
Turpitudo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

McDonald defending well as Turpitudo loads up on a big left hand.
McDonald thuds his right hand into Turpitudo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Turpitudo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Turpitudo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McDonald avoids the head kick by Turpitudo.
McDonald shoots in for a takedown but Turpitudo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Turpitudo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Turpitudo there as he acknowledges the shot.

McDonald might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
McDonald tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

McDonald shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turpitudo is trying to defend but McDonald finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Turpitudo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McDonald is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Turpitudo.
