The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Johnson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Spiller - the referee stops the clock and Johnson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Spiller. Johnson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Spiller lands with an overhand left.
Spiller tries a head kick but it misses.
Spiller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Spiller scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Spiller scores with a jab.
Spiller scores with a jab to the jaw.
Johnson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Spiller fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Spiller lands a jab-cross combination.
Nice uppercut lands for Spiller. That snapped Johnson's head back.

Spiller scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

A punch lands to the side of Johnson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Spiller throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
Johnson misses the body punch
and Spiller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Spiller lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Spiller just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Spiller finds it's way through Johnson's defenses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spiller throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Spiller throws a shot to the body.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Spiller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A head kick from Spiller lands but Johnson takes it in his stride.
Spiller looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spiller tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spiller to the ground. Spiller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Spiller lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson looks gassed!
Spiller lands with an uppercut that bounces Johnson off the cage and back into rage.
A jab from Spiller finds it's way through Johnson's defenses.
Brandon Spiller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spiller plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Johnson is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson walks straight into a right hand from Spiller - that's dropped him! Spiller jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Johnson from any more punishment! Johnson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
