Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Volkoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Gimme back my bullets blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Volkoff is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Crunch! Volkoff slams his shin into Jones's torso.

Jones kicks Volkoff off and gets to his feet.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Volkoff backs up against the cage.

It looks like Vladimir Volkoff has been cut.
Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.
A head kick from Volkoff lands but Jones takes it in his stride.
Volkoff fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Volkoff takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Volkoff scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Jones cracks the inside of Volkoff's front leg.
Volkoff looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.

Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Volkoff off balance momentarily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Volkoff looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Bones Jones has been cut.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bones Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Volkoff sprawls well. Volkoff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Volkoff misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Volkoff throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jones.
Jones throws a head kick but Volkoff moves out of range.
Volkoff throws a front kick aimed at Jones's knee but Jones avoids it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
