Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Shifflett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Mcghee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcghee has chosen Dropkick Murphys - The Warrior's Code as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Shifflett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shifflett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcghee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Shifflett misses with a body kick.
Shifflett throws a nice looking combination but Mcghee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shifflett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shifflett shoots for a takedown but Mcghee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mcghee shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Shifflett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcghee pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shifflett is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcghee defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcghee tries to free his leg and advance position but Shifflett is retaining full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

and Mcghee counters with a shoot takedown. Shifflett fights it but they end up in guard.
Mcghee's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shifflett is pulling down on Mcghee's head to control his posture.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Shifflett throws and elbow that misses. Mcghee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shifflett's guard. Nice move by Mcghee!

Shifflett pushes a forearm under Mcghee's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mcghee is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
