Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Graves or perhaps it was just good defense by Wehland which made him look bad.
Wehland wants to clinch up but Graves keeps it at a distance.
Wehland feints and as Graves raises his hands in defense, Wehland changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wehland trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wehland is looking to work some ground and pound but Graves has wrist control.

Wehland drops back looking for a leg! Graves is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Graves manages to kick Wehland off! Wehland jumps back into Graves's guard.

Graves stands and throws Wehland's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Graves content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Wehland is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Graves connects with a nice short shot to Wehland's temple.

Wehland is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Graves pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wehland fails with an attempt to clinch.
Graves fails with the takedown.
Graves closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Graves in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Graves moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Graves's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Graves will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wehland tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Graves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wehland looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Michael Graves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Graves takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
