Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heinrich Himmler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joker Goth!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Himmler scores with a jab to the body.
Goth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Goth missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Goth slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Goth wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Himmler, who protects the arm well.
Goth lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Himmler down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Goth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Goth looks gassed!
Goth swings around for an armbar but Himmler sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Goth's guard.
Himmler tries to stand but Goth is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Himmler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Goth looking to hit a scissor sweep but Himmler is one step ahead there.
Himmler wanted to stand there but Goth had control of the position.
Himmler stopping the sweep attempt from Goth.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Himmler bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Himmler lands with a right hand.
Himmler swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Goth.
Himmler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Goth on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Goth decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Himmler is looking to escape.
Himmler gets back to full guard.
Himmler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goth prevents Himmler from getting back to his feet.
Himmler is trying to control the position but Goth postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Goth works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Goth in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Himmler tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Goth!
