The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backman takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Ben Backman has been cut.
Backman dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Backman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jackson throws the left hand but Backman avoids the punch easily.
Jackson digs a good hook to Backman's body.
Backman is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Backman's hands.
Backman looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson takes a swing at Backman's ribcage but misses.
Backman looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jackson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Backman. Jackson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
