Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marin Zeus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeus comes to the cage accompanied by Step Up by Drowning Pool. Marin Zeus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zeus manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rodrigues is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zeus tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zeus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Zeus had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rodrigues defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rodrigues fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zeus sprawls well initially but Rodrigues persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rodrigues wants to free his trapped foot but Zeus is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Zeus is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rodrigues jumps into side control!

Rodrigues uses his free foot to push down on Zeus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zeus.
Zeus wants to try and get back to his feet.
Rodrigues goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Zeus is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zeus distracts Rodrigues with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zeus is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rodrigues is surviving well by controlling Zeus's body position as best he can.
