Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrel Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett has chosen Highway to Hell as his entrance music. Ken Kelly could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tyrel Sackett's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kelly!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrel Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett tries to bum rush Kelly with a series of wild strikes but Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kelly throws a leg kick but Sackett sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kelly throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sackett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sackett throws a low kick but Kelly avoids it.
Kelly lands with a right hand.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sackett checks a leg kick.
Kelly throws a head kick but Sackett moves out of range.
Sackett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kelly misses with a double jab.
Sackett throws a leg kick but Kelly checks it.
Sackett looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Sackett lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kelly's sensitive parts.
A telegraphed right hand from Kelly misses the target.
Kelly moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sackett fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Kelly counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Sackett missing with a left hand there. Kelly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sackett tries a low kick but Kelly avoids it.
Kelly throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.

Kelly walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sackett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kelly swats him away and circles back towards the center.

enabling Sackett to counter with a crisp jab.
Kelly blocks a leg kick.
Kelly throws a low kick but Sackett moves out of range easily.

Sackett throws a head kick that misses.
Kelly throws a leg kick but Sackett sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kelly loads up on a big right hand but Sackett slips the punch.
A telegraphed right hand from Sackett misses the target.
A head kick misses from Sackett.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sackett.
Kelly throws an overhand right that lands on Sackett's shoulder, as Sackett tries to avoid the shot.
Sackett feints and then cracks Kelly's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kelly down.
Kelly looks to land a right hand but Sackett moved out of range.

Sackett tests Kelly's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kelly looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kelly stopping the sweep attempt from Sackett.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Kelly loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sackett wants to sweep but no luck.
Kelly tries to free his leg and advance position but Sackett is retaining full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sackett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrel Sackett dominated that round.
That's time! Kelly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A swing and a miss from Kelly.

Sackett clinches.
Sackett pushes Kelly back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Sackett's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sackett is trying to break the clinch but Kelly has him pressed against the cage.
Kelly tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sackett smiles and moves away.
Sackett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sackett slips a jab from Kelly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sackett throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sackett throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A head kick misses from Kelly.
Sackett slips under a jab from Kelly.

Sackett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sackett moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sackett scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
No joy there for Sackett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kelly thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sackett blocks a low kick nicely.

A slow jab from Sackett misses its intended target.
Sackett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sackett throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kelly tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kelly takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kelly throws a lazy right hand but Sackett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sackett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kelly sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sackett lands a nice hook to Kelly's body. Kelly takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters circling - Sackett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sackett tries to clinch but Kelly moves away
and Kelly counters with a head kick. That will keep Sackett thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Tyrel Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sackett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Sackett thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Sackett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sackett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kelly has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kelly!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sackett feints and then cracks Kelly's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kelly down.

Kelly closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sackett circles away.
Kelly throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kelly lands with a straight right. Sackett didn't see that one coming.
A clash of legs there as Sackett blocks the low kick.

and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kelly with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kelly takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Sackett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kelly checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sackett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kelly misses with a kick to the body.
Sackett fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kelly on the side of the head.
Sackett lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sackett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kelly.
Sackett thuds his right hand into Kelly's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Sackett fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kelly has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sackett. That's going to slow Kelly down.

and Sackett counters with a nice body kick.
Sackett throws a leg kick which misses Kelly's front leg but catches the back leg as Kelly tries to avoid it.
Sackett scores with the left hand. Kelly knows he should have avoided that one.
Sackett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nice combo by Sackett! Oh, that's hurt him - Kelly falls to the canvas and Sackett follows him into side control.


Kelly is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sackett thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oh Kelly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sackett scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kelly is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sackett can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyrel Sackett! Tyrel Sackett retains his light heavyweight title!
