The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Santos throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Santos throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

Silva throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease.

Santos darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Santos lands an elbow inside.
Silva tries to pull guard but Santos holds him up against the cage and eventually Silva drops back down to his feet.

Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Santos works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination.

Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Santos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That has opened up Von Silva's cut even more.
Santos connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Silva tumbling to the canvas! Santos pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Silva was done - good stoppage!
