PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ian Askew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Askew might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Glamour of the Kill-Feeling Alive. Polo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child. Ian Askew has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Askew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marko Polo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Askew finds it's way round the side to connect with Polo's head.
Askew throws a right and a left that Polo avoids nicely.
Askew scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Askew fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Polo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Polo shoots for a double leg takedown but Askew sprawls well. He's pushed Polo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Askew throws a right hand that Polo ducks under and follows up with a left that Polo also avoids with ease.
A combination from Askew does no damage.
Polo shoots in for a takedown but Askew shows good takedown defense.
Polo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Askew.
Polo seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Askew shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Polo is backing up but Askew catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Polo covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Askew Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
