Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Fists (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer Fists will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaines clinches with his opponent.
Fists misses with the head strike.

Gaines manages to break the clinch.

and Gaines counters with a shoot takedown. Fists fights it but they end up in guard.
Gaines seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gaines gets to his feet - Fists follows without any prompting.
Fists closes the distance but Gaines moves to the side

and Gaines counters by moving into the clinch.
Gaines is stalling here.

Gaines's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gaines is struggling to control the position.

Gaines pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fists looks to throw the jab but Gaines is out of range.
Fists misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hammer Fists is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gaines changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fists tries to avoid it but Gaines manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fists to the ground. Fists escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gaines closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fists quickly recovers to half guard.
Gaines slows the pace down in half guard.

Fists is in trouble now - Gaines has advanced to mount!
Gaines is landing with some decent strikes but Fists is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Gaines connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gaines cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fists looks gassed!
BOOM! Gaines connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gaines sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gaines landing punches.
Gaines tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fists is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gaines has taken his back.

Gaines shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fists napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gaines has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Gaines working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Fists turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gaines off and cradles Fists's limp body as Gaines celebrates with his corner.
