Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by You Won't Know. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Dent!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dent is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Dent's temple.
Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anderson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Dent taking some punishment here, with Anderson in his half guard.
Anderson throwing shots but Dent is blocking nicely.

Anderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dent wants to get back to his feet.

Dent pushes Anderson off looking to stand but Anderson dives back in and keeps control.

Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dent is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold.

Anderson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Anderson throws a strike but Dent avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dent swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Anderson thows a big elbow that misses.
Anderson stops Dent from standing up.
Anderson throws a big right hand that misses.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but instead Dent has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Anderson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Anderson has a closed guard, preventing Dent from standing up.

Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Anderson stops Dent from getting back to his feet.
Anderson slips a nice elbow through Dent's hands, connecting with Dent's forehead.

Dent makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anderson is defended easily by Dent.
Anderson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Dent tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dent somewhat.
Dent throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range.

Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dent.
Dent shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily.
Dent moves forwards but Anderson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Dent shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Anderson tries to hold on but Dent pushes him away.
Dent prevents Anderson from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson Anderson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away.

Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Dent sits in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arthur Dent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Anderson manages to break the clinch.
Anderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dent was well out of range. Poor timing from Anderson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dent is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Anderson is controlling him well.

Anderson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dent regains guard.
